James Onderdonk’s outstanding performance on the pitch this season has left a lasting impression on both teammates and opponents. With his imposing physicality and impressive soccer IQ, he’s consistently proved to be a formidable force in defense, leaving attackers flustered and bruised. His exceptional leadership abilities were instrumental in guiding the Poly Varsity boys soccer team to yet another impressive Prep League championship for the fourth time in his career and for a fifth year in a row. His presence on the field was not just one of skill, but also instilled confidence and unity within the team. While his Poly career unfortunately capped off in a CIF quarterfinals loss, the team relied heavily on the strength, determination and fortitude that he brought to each and every game. James will take his talents overseas to England, where he will be studying sports business management at the University of Central Lancashire and playing for Macclesfield Football Club. We can’t wait to see him continue to excel!
