After a standout season, Henry McDonald, a four-year varsity player and two-year captain, is bringing his exceptional talents to California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he will play NCAA Division I Baseball. McDonald concluded the year with an impressive .446 batting average, achieving 25 hits in 56 at-bats. He ranked 62nd in California for his remarkable .857 slugging percentage, hitting a career-high four home runs. Although he was primarily a catcher for the Panthers, McDonald also played outfield and shortstop, demonstrating his versatility despite dealing with multiple injuries. Next season, McDonald is set to continue his distinguished career with the Mustangs, where he will focus on the catcher position. As he transitions from high school to the collegiate level, we wish McDonald the best in his future endeavors both on and off the field.
