Calm and collected, senior Sean Asperger takes a deep breath and steps into the box. Down 2-0 in their final game of the season, with the Prep League title on the line, the Panthers needed a big play to stay in the game. The pitcher winds up and delivers the pitch, but in the blink of an eye, it’s already sailing well over the right field fence, a two-run home run by Asperger tying off the game. Incredible moments like this were common for Asperger as in the 2023-2024 season, he led the Prep League with a .450 batting average and a whopping eight home runs, earning the title of Prep League MVP. Asperger’s athletic prowess will no doubt continue next season when he plays NCAA Division I baseball at the University of California, Santa Barbara while also studying economics. We wish him good luck!
