This upcoming fall, middle infielder and outfielder Eila Chan will extend her softball career at Williams College, a Division III school in Massachusetts. Chan ended her Poly softball career batting an impressive .541 with 15 home runs over her four years on the team; moreover, she also had a tremendous impact on the defensive side, playing both shortstop and second base. Chan’s success is a direct reflection of the effort she gives to the sport. “I pride myself on my work ethic on the field and in the classroom,” Chan shared. One of Chan’s primary motivations for attending Williams is its academic reputation as she intends to continue her academic and athletic pursuits at the highest level. Freshman third baseman Dannika Rivera stated, “Eila has been such an inspiration to me on and off the field. Her talent and passion for the game truly inspire me and everyone who plays with her.” Although Chan’s time on Poly’s diamond is nearing an end, we are thrilled to watch her take her talents to the collegiate level and know her future at Williams is incredibly bright.
