Playing on the offensive line requires courage, strength and game sense, qualities exemplified by senior Benny Dalany. As one of the senior captains on the football team, Dalany served as the player who motivates others and ensures the team’s spirit never wavers. Sophomore wide receiver Maxwell Leaks said, “Benny was always the guy to say something motivational to get us going before a game.” Next fall, Dalany will attend Division III Macalester College to further his career in football and academics. At Macalester, Dalany plans on majoring in economics. Dalany’s presence will be missed both on and off the field at Poly, but his energy as a role model and a leader will continue. We wish him well for the next four years and cannot wait to see what he will accomplish!
