The air in the gym hangs charged with a quiet intensity, a momentary hush before Olivia Ip’s signature strike rips through the silence. Embracing the role of co-captain on Poly’s girls varsity volleyball team, Ip was an undeniable leader on and off the court this season. Her keen understanding of the game and her ability to execute under pressure have made her a standout player. This fall, Ip will take her talents to the University of Chicago, where she will major in business and economics in addition to playing NCAA Division III volleyball for the Maroons. As Ip ventures beyond Poly, there’s no doubt that she will further elevate her game, tackling whatever comes her way with the same determination and skill that defined her high school career. We will miss her presence on campus and the court and wish her good luck in her future endeavors!
